NorthStar maintains a very successful collection record, even against closed accounts. Part of what drives our collection efforts is that we report all negative check data to the National Check Network and it remains there until all checks and fees have been paid in full.

The National Check Network is the largest database of checking account information in the United States.  NCN ^® tracks more than 120 million accounts at over 170,000 merchants locations.   This coverage “catches” bogus check writers at high volume check locations and directs them back to our call center for payment.

We also offer information to educate the business community about best practices for check acceptance.  For those with substantial returned checks issues, we can offer check authorization, electronic check conversion and a host of other services geared to help reduce their losses and improve their bottom line.
