NorthStar will
provide a secure web site for you to upload your no-show
patients into its collection database. This can be done
at a time convenient for you, and there is no cost.
NorthStar will return 65% of what it collects on every
account that is collected. If NorthStar fails to
collect, it absorbs all the costs.
If you have your "no show" patients in an electronic
file format, NorthStar can almost always receive this
information electronically and immediately begin
collection efforts using the percentages described in
the preceding paragraph.
THE INEXPENSIVE OPTION
A second option
is a series of collection letters. You may buy a series
of three collection letters for just $5.85. If your
patients pay due to the letters, you receive back
everything NorthStar collects except the cost of the
letters.
If your medical office is losing at least $500 per month
($6,000 a year) due to missed appointments, and a
collection service like NorthStar is willing to return
to you a straight 65% of all it collects, does it not
make good business sense to outsource this part of your
medical practice? With NorthStar you have no-fees 65/35
split that will help recover lost revenue from no show
patients.
In additional
to providing NorthStar with your no show appointments,
you simply let your patients know that you do assess a
charge for a missed appointment (i.e. this is your
posted policy) and patients are to pay for any missed
appointment. They may choose to pay you directly so you
receive all the lost revenue, or you can ask patients to
work directly with NorthStar and you receive 65% of what
is collected.
